priviloop is built so your conversations never have to leave your phone.
The short version: priviloop runs Apple's on-device AI. Your chats, the personalities you create, and the images you generate are processed and stored on your iPhone. We don't run servers that receive your content, we have no accounts, no tracking, no ads, and no analytics SDKs. We never see your data.
Who we are
priviloop ("the app", "we", "us") is an on-device AI chat app for iPhone. This policy explains what the app does and doesn't do with your information.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in priviloop is stored locally on your iPhone and is not transmitted to us or to any third party:
Conversations — your messages and the AI's replies are saved on your device only.
Personalities & profiles — any custom characters or profile details you set up stay on your device.
Generated images — images are created on your device using Apple's on-device image model. They are saved to your photo library only when you choose to save them.
How the AI works
priviloop uses Apple's built-in, on-device intelligence to power its features:
Chat is generated by Apple Foundation Models running on your device. Your prompts are not sent to us or to any external AI service.
Image generation uses Apple's on-device image creation. Your image prompts stay on your device.
Spoken replies (text-to-speech) are synthesized on your device.
Voice input (speech-to-text)
When you talk to priviloop, the app converts your speech to text using Apple's Speech Recognition. priviloop requests on-device recognition whenever your device supports it, so your voice is transcribed locally.
On devices or languages where on-device recognition isn't available, Apple's Speech framework may fall back to Apple's speech-recognition servers to transcribe your audio. In that case the audio is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy — priviloop itself never receives or stores your audio.
Permissions the app asks for
Microphone & Speech Recognition — only to power voice conversations, and only while you're using voice. Audio is not recorded, stored, or sent to us.
Photos — only to save a generated image to your library when you tap to save it.
What we don't do
No accounts, sign-ups, or logins.
No analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDKs that collect your data.
No selling or sharing of personal information — there's nothing for us to sell, because we never receive it.
No cloud sync of your conversations by us.
Children's privacy
priviloop is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because the app collects no personal information at all, this is straightforward.
Data retention & deletion
Because your data lives only on your device, you are in control of it. Deleting a conversation removes it from the app, and deleting the app removes all priviloop data from your device.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
